What is sheet metal bending?
A manual sheet bending machine allows the bending of sheet metal of different grades of material for metalworking operations. It is also known as a sheet folding machine or sheet bender. It consists of a base that places the sheet metal and a clamping bar that will come down and hold the sheet metal firmly during the bend. This bending action may be manual, automatic, or operated using a foot pedal. They can produce both simple and complex desired shapes.
Bending helps in the process of manufacturing different products. It forms bends and creases in the products like sheet metal pipes and tubes to achieve desired shapes and forms. It is the most common sheet metal bending tool in sheet metal fabrication.

Sheet bending machine working
The steel sheet bending machine includes the supporting arm, handle, and moving arrangements fixed on the base worktable. We have to place the steel sheet between the upper tool (punch) and the lower tool(die) of the steel sheet bender and, then press the handle. The upper tool exerts pressure on the steel sheet metal and the base die. This movement helps to bend the sheet metal to the required shape for our needs. This metal bending tool is easily operatable to less skilled laborers and workers. Because of this, it is ideal for small-scale industries and workshops.
